Black TV Ad in 24 this weekend!

Now really you should all be watching the new series of 24 on Sky One this sunday (did you know that Kiefer Sutherland has both British and Canadian passports by the way? What a guy!). But if you needed more reason, you can see the full length 60 second advert for Black that I’d previously blogged about.

Black preview at IGN

February 1, 2006 on 10:21 am | In Games | 1 Comment

If you’re wondering what game I’m working on, here’s a big clue (see left) .. and here is a preview from IGN, so I’m not violating any NDAs :-)

There is a nice preview on the Playstation UK site. They have a link to the excellent TV ad (Quicktime format, 8.2Mb). I recommend watching it if you like to see things blowing up in slow motion (I know I do).

Black recieved a 10/10 review score in the recent Official Playstation Magazine (UK), which also carries a demo on the cover DVD.

The game itself is, I believe out at the end of this month!

Added my gamercard to the sidebar on the left (if you’re looking at the full site rather than an RSS feed).

I used the official method but others exist too, e.g. mygamercard.net make this handy jpeg version:

This is turning into one of those “Microsoft actually does something useful, shocker!” posts. Oh well.

Early Xbox360 crashes

Lots of reports coming in that the early Xbox360′s crash quite a bit. Ah.

My money is, I think, going to be on the built-in Microsoft Dashboard thing, as apparently the crashes are across all games. At least, that’s the optimistic view. The pessimistic view is that the first load of hardware has some manufacturing defects (or ‘hardware bugs’).

In a word, oops. Just as well they didn’t have that large a supply of them anyway…
