I quit!

Well we had a lovely party last weekend to celebrate the flat being ‘finished’ – unfortunately because the flat is built on an old Indian burial ground, the loo got blocked up, and then when it was unblocked managed to leak all over the hall, so I’ve had to pull that up to dry it out, blah blah blah, I’m just so tired of everything I ever say to my friends being about the latest thing to fuck up in my flat.

So, I quit.

I know its only just done, I know that there’s probably “nothing left that could go wrong” but I’ve just had enough now. I’ll never be able to relax, I’ll always be waiting for the next thing to go wrong. So once I’ve tidied up and fixed the floor, it’s going on the market. Hopefully we’ll make our money back, I don’t know. We should do, but then as everything in the flat has gone wrong so far, I’m not banking on it.

With any luck (ha!) in a few months I’ll be back to renting somewhere nice again – maybe even Barnes – and will not have to worry about what’s next to go wrong.

Fingers crossed.

P.S. Apologies if that’s depressing – watch some funny TV Adverts to cheer up instead!

  1. Crikey! I wish you look finding somewhere new. It’s definitely worth owning a place in the end.

  2. Sorry to hear that – been through our own builder problems for the past year which are only just being sorted out now (at least my virtual home is working nicely thanks to your help!)

It does seem the more the trade charges the less they give a sh*t. At least the toilets in our place haven’t gone yet but we are about to install a macerator in the cellar so it can’t be long. Good luck.
