This video is captured from a web page actually about Vista, which carries a great anti-Vista advert on it! How long that lasted, I have no idea.

I can’t help but notice one of the items on the page is: “The shutdown button in Windows Vista doesn’t actually shut down your computer. We can fix that for you.” So… Microsoft broke the shut down button? Is there anything about vista that isn’t actually worse than XP? Cannot wait for that to be rolled out at work, ouch.

Well I’ve been quiet and neglectful of ye ole internet again for a while.

But this time my excuse is very good; I’ve had to move out of my flat for about a month whilst the council fills the hole that was underneath it, and I’m taking the opportunity to do the much delayed refurbishment work. This has put me into the role of Project Manager and its not gone too badly so far – of course, supplies and orders take longer than they should and things turn out to be not as simple as you’d wanted but thus far it is going ok.

Right now my bathroom looks like this:

… which is actually an improvement on what went before!

Once it is all complete I will post more pics and no doubt recommend the builders that I’ve found – amazingly they actually know how to use email and have great communication; I hope the finished work is as good!

Until then I’ve got a few more things to order, and a kitchen and many square meters of flooring to install. Wish me luck….
